Influence of the Parameters of the Dielectric on the Q-factor of a Rotating Coaxial Resonator

摘要
In the paper the problem of excitation of a rotating resonator formed with two coaxial spheres and filled with dielectric is solved using covariant expressions for Maxwell equations. The solution is used to calculate frequency characteristics of a dielectric filled rotating coaxial resonator for different parameters of the dielectric for resonator with PEC walls. The characteristics are compared to frequency characteristics of a rotating coaxial resonator with metal walls. Based on the frequency characteristics the Q-factor of the rotating coaxial resonator is calculated for different materials of the filling. The dependence of the quality factor of the resonator on the parameters of the materials is analyzed.
