Some reformulation markers in the writing of master theses in Romanian mother tongue and in French as a foreign language

摘要
The theoretical chapter of dissertation papers written by master's students represents a real challenge for them because the techniques of academic writing presuppose the judicious understanding and reformulation of the sources consulted. In this article, based on a corpus of 15 dissertation papers written in French as a foreign language in the broad domain of philology, we examine the types of reformulation used by novice writers as well as markers of reformulation used. The quantitative and qualitative approaches of reformulation markers identified in the foreign language are related to students' reading and writing practices.
