摘要
The temperature dependence of polymer melt's properties such as zero-shear viscosity (η) or terminal flow relaxation time (τ), using the linearized relation for the universal viscosity is discussed. The validity of the glass transition temperature (Tg)÷absolute temperature (T) universal scaling by analyzing a large set of dynamic moduli data in a broad temperature range was verified and expanded. The universal (Tg) scaling of the temperature dependence of (η) or (τ) for a wide variety of polymers over an extended temperature range encompassing both the Arrhenius and non-Arrhenius regions was demonstrated. The master curve was further linearized by combining the VFT and Simha-Boyer and Adam-gibbs equations. The viscosity was concluded to be estimated for all molecular weights by combining the universal temperature dependence with the power law dependence for molecular weight.
