The problem of asymptotic stability for a class of neutral systems with single time-varying delay is investiguated. Using Lyapunov method, a new delay-dependent sufficient criteria for the stability of the systems, in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) is derived. The results in present literatures are developed. The linear matrix inequality can be solved by using LMI control toolbox of Matlab. With a numerical example, simulation, is discussed to verify the validity. Compared with previous results, the results show less conservity of this method.
