摘要：

The three known hydrates of manganese(II)oxalate,alpha-MnC2O4. 2H2O, gamma-MnC2O4 center dot 2H(2)O and MnC2O4 center dot 3H(2)O were synthesized by known procedures and characterized by X-ray powder diffractometry. Their infrared (IR) and Raman spectra were recorded and discussed on the basis of its structural peculiarities allowing to establish some interesting relations between them and with other, previously investigated, oxalate complexes. The IR spectra of partially deuterated samples of alpha-MnC(2)O4 center dot 2H(2)O were also discussed, reinforcing some of the performed assignments. Copyright (C) 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
