Influencing of a stressed state of carbide coatings on their stability in conditions of a cavitation

摘要
The influence of residual stresses and microcleavage stresses in one- and two-component Cr-, Nb-, V-, Zr-base carbide coatings on their cavitation resistance is investigated. As shown, the formation of residual compressive stresses in the. carbide layers is a necessary condition for resistance in relation to the cavitation fracture. The cavitation resistance of the carbide coatings with increasing microcleavage stresses is revealed.
