摘要
This article investigates which individual, firm and regional economic characteristics support successful regional mobility of full-time employees. Research is needed regarding income changes in the context of regional mobility as well as the influence of regional structural data. A linked employer-employee dataset (LIAB) from the 'Institute for Employment Research' has been analysed, which has been supplemented by regional structural indicators (INKAR). Among other things the results of the binary and multinomial logistic regression models show that supra-regional mobility and thus achievements in earnings especially depend on individual characteristics such as age and qualification. Regional economical and structural indicators proof to be less significant for the decision of regional mobility and its success. Rural regions or regions with higher unemployment will not be abandoned ultimately more often. Nevertheless, in economically developed regions interregional mobility can be found. There however, a higher probability of advancement can contrary to expectation not be seen. In target regions with a high proportion of highly qualified employees, academics have immediately and adjusted for the regional price level even a higher probability of income losses. There is still the question of how target firm contexts affect the income opportunities of the various groups of employees in long-term continuance in the target area.
