摘要：
Mathematical expressions for Fizeau fringes crossing fibres with an unusual, irregular skin-core cross-section are derived. Firstly, for a fibre of a circular cross-section with a shifted elliptical core apart from its center and secondly, for a fibre of elliptical cross-section with a shifted circular core apart from its center. These expressions lead to the determination of refractive indices and birefringence for fibres having these special structures. (C) 1996. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd
