摘要
The review is dedicated to the book by Catherine Livshits who was the wife of Russian poet, translator, memoirist Benedict Livshits. The book was compiled by literary scholar Pavel Nerler. It includes memoirs, diaries, letters and documents from the personal archive of Catherine Livshits. This is an important source for researchers of Russian literature of the 1910-1930s, who are interested in the figure of Benedict Livshits and the literary life of these decades. In focus is the fate of Catherine Livshits, who did not avoid the Stalinist repression. She communicated with many writers and devoted her life to preserving the memory of her husband, keeping his literary heritage. The book is important also in the context of the study of the Soviet everyday life of the 1940-1980-ies.
