摘要
Giant polyelectrolyte microcapsules constructed on dex-HEMA microgel as a sacrificial template and functionalized with gold nanoparticles were found to have the ability to release encapsulated material in a pre-determined direction by selectively irradiating a given region of a capsule's wall with an infrared laser. This technology is envisioned to provide other applications in bio-medicine, an analogue of gene-gun technology on the micro-level for transfecting cells.
