摘要
This paper mainly studies the application of FBG in strain monitoring of reinforced concrete structure. The principle of FBG was illuminated. Methods of calibration were worked on. Packaging and bonding techniques were studied. Static tests of reinforced concrete beams instrumented with FBGs were done, in order to study whose distinct sensing character and monitor strains of the beam. Then, three FBGs strain sensors were instrumented in Hulan River Bridge to monitor strain. A number of meaningful results were concluded, which laid the foundations of. applying FBG to civil engineering structural smart monitoring.
