摘要
We demonstrate a novel ultra-fast high-contrast switching mechanism of two-level atoms driven by milliwatt picosecond pulse trains in PBG circuits with step-shaped density of states profiles. Possible application as low-threshold, multi-wavelength-channel all-optical transistors is discussed. (C) 2009 Optical Society of America
