摘要
In the present investigation, the Plane-Wave Born Approximation (PWBA) [J. Phys. B At. Mol. Opt. 32 (1999) 3147] has been used to calculate the total ionization cross sections by electron impact of fluorides CFx and NFx (x = 1-3) from the threshold of ionization to 2 keV. The PWBA requires the continuum generalised oscillator strength. Here, we have used continuum generalised oscillator strength given by the statistical model of Weizsacker-Williams and continuum optical oscillator strength approximated by Kim and Rudd. Khare-BEB model has also been used to calculate total ionization cross sections. The calculated cross sections are compared with the previously available theoretical as well as experimental results. The present calculations are found in satisfactory agreement with the available experimental results.
