Hydrothermal synthesis, crystal structures and magnetic properties of two bimetallic cage cluster vanadate complexes [Co(phen)2]2V4O12 and [Co(2,2′-bipy)2]2V4O12

摘要
Two new bimetallic cluster complexes, [Co(phen)(2)](2)V4O12 1 (phen = phenanthroline) and [Co(2,2'-bipy)(2)](2)V4O12 2 (2,2'-bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine), have been synthesized hydrothermally. X-ray crystallography reveals that both 1 and 2 possess a similar metal cage cluster core, Co2V4O12. Magnetic studies of I and 2 indicate that both the complexes exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions between the cobalt(II) ions.
