Preparation of porous bioceramics via foam-gelcasting

摘要
The main inorganic component is hydroxyapatite in natural bone. For its superior biocompatibility to human tissue, hydroxyapatite is widely used as implants material. To obtain hydroxyapaptite scaffold with appropriate pore size and porous rate, foam gelcasting method was used to produce porous bioceramics. The results of experiments show that, the expected scaffold could be obtained, using slurry with solid loading of 40vol%.
