Crystal structure of ALaMnFeO6 (A = Ca, Sr, Ba)

摘要
The crystal structures of perovskites of the formula ALaMnFeO(6) (A = Ca, Sr, Ba) have been characterised by powder X-ray, neutron powder diffraction and Mossbauer spectroscopy. Both CaLaMnFeO6 and BaLaMnFeO6 were found to crystallise in orthorhombic symmetry (space group Pbnm), whereas SrLaMnFeO6 was rhombohedral (space group R (3) over barc). No evidence of phase transformation or magnetic structure was noticed in the low-temperature (10K) neutron diffraction measurements. The Mossbauer parameters indicate that iron is present in Fe3+ high-spin (d(5) configuration) state in octahedral coordination. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
