摘要
A novel analytical approach for calculating the magnetic leakage field from surface defects is proposed and demonstrated for the case of a linear ferromagnetic material. The novelty of the theory is that it relates the distribution of induced magnetic charges to the surface shape. An excellent agreement between the analytical and numerical results is shown. The functional relations between different magnetic field components are discussed. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
