摘要
In this paper the cogging torque is reduced by employing various techniques on 24-slot/16-pole flux-switching permanent magnet (FSPM) machine with an overlap winding. By implementing OW-configuration the coil flux and pitch factor cross-sectional area can be doubled due to full pitch coils. Thus, the flux linkage is enhanced but the proposed machine suffers from high torque ripple due to high cogging torque. Due to its distinct configuration FSPMM offers high torque density, better flux linkage, and high mechanical ruggedness is an ideal choice for Plug in hybrid electrical vehicle (PHEV). The major issue is to minimize the torque ripple, cogging torque, and maintaining the average output torque such that overall machine performance is kept intact. Five different topologies are suggested to minimize the cogging torque for an FSPMM to make it more reliable for brushless AC operation. A lot of quantities comparison and theory are performed between all the techniques. The legitimacy of applied techniques have been examined by 2-D models of finite element analysis (FEA) implemented in commercial software JMAG.
