摘要
Ceramic Matrix Composites present several attractive properties. Efficient design in these materials requires an understanding of their behaviour following damage events, and an ability to model the response of components stressed above the matrix cracking threshold. The development of such a model requires the input of a wide variety of material data in order to provide adequate characterisation of the behaviour for modelling and validation. This paper will discuss some of these data requirements and describe the test method development activites which have been undertaken to address them.
