摘要
The response of girders with slender webs, when subjected to concentrated load has been investigated using nonlinear finite element analyses and comparisons with tests. The conclusions are that, for the investigated girder dimensions, the moment capacity of the flange does not influence the bearing capacity for patch loading. Instead it is the bending stiffness of the flange that influences the resistance. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
