摘要：

This article focuses on renal cytology, with emphases on clinical indications for cytologic evaluation, strengths and weaknesses of renal cytology, and cytologic features of common renal lesions-primarily inflammation and neoplasia. In addition, this chapter contains a brief review of renal anatomy and ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration techniques.
