摘要：
Trials designed to evaluate the most appropriate procedures for leaching hyper-saline clays covered by a salt crust within the Tina Plain, Sinai, Egypt are described. These involved either continuous or intermittent pending of water on the surface, commencing with brackish water, later followed by simulated irrigation water. The results confirm that the soil salinity can be dramatically reduced, but for greatest effect requires the removal of the surface salt crust at the outset.
