摘要
I amend the concept of fractional exclusion statistics (FES) by introducing new conditions that make the formalism logically -and therefore physically- consistent. These conditions are imposed on the exclusion statistics parameters, defining how the parameters change if the species of particles in the system are divided into sub-species. Using a simple and intuitive model I deduce the general equations for the change of the exclusion statistics parameters at the redefinition of the particle species in any FES system.
