Beam combination of a radial laser array:: Hermite-Gaussian model

摘要
The closed-form beam propagation equations of radial laser array are derived, where the Hermite-Gaussian mode is used to describe the beamlets. Numerical examples are given and illustrated. It is shown that the irradiance distribution of the resulting beam is dependent upon the phase- or nonphase-locked combination, initial field (mode structure) and number of beamlets, array geometry and fill factor.
