Emotional Profiling of Robots in Health-Care

Robots are almost capable of doing whatever humans can do. They are better at physical work and process cognitive tasks much faster than human brain can. The only aspect they are lagging is emotions. Since emotions are the thing that tell humans and animal apart, it is a real distinction when it comes to artificial beings and humans as well. Present paper after introducing relevant international literature of emotions and emotional work, endeavoured to identify an emotive personality profile for the robots working in health-care settings. In order to display instrumental, and therapeutical emotions in an appropriate manner, the ideal state shall first be defined. After analyzing the responses of 167 health-care professionals from the University of Debrecen's Medical and Health Sciences Faculty, a certain pattern could be identified, with positive emotions in the centre.
