摘要
ZnS and Mn doped ZnS nanoparticles with blende structure have been prepared by hydrothermal synthesis method. Nanoparticles of two samples are very homogeneous with a narrow size distribution of 20-50 nm. The structural and morphological properties of these particles were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and TEM. UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy was used to calculate absorption edges which are found at 306 nm for ZnS and 330 nm for Mn-ZnS nanoparticle. There are strongest photoluminescence peak at 587 nm corresponding to yellow light. That can be used in flat panel display and LED. The temperature variation of resistivity of ZnS and Mn-ZnS pellets are done in the temperature range of 100-300 K, and show semiconducting behavior. (c) 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
