摘要
Curing behavior of epoxidized soybean oil modified epoxy resins cured in the presence of an anhydride hardener was studied by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and oscillatory rheometer. The rate and the heat of cure reaction decreased and the time of gelation lengthened as the epoxidized soybean oil content increased. The isothermal cure results using DSC fitted well to the values calculated by the modified Kamal's model. It is thought that the reactive epoxidized soybean oil modified epoxy resins with improved processability as well as flexibility and good weather resistance can be obtained by introducing small amount of flexible epoxidized soybean oil to the weather resistible cycloaliphatic epoxy network.
