摘要
The preparation of monodisperse, submicrometer sized, smooth carbon spheres using the pyrolysis of copolymer particles such as monodisperse melamine formaldeyde (MF) microsphered was analyzed. The shape and size of the particles during the fabrication process were monitored by SEM, while the material characterization was monitored by infrared spectroscopy. These spheres are available as readily fabricated in different sizes, which are suitable for simple preparation of carbon spheres. The carbon particles obtained were smooth-surface and highly monodisperse within one batch meets the high quality standards of commonly fabricated and used polymer and silica particles. It was observed they were an appropriate template material for the fabrication of porous ceramics, such as filters, and photonic bandgap materials such as inverted opals. The results show that carbon spheres offers an important alternative for applications at very high temperatures for delicate poros materials.
