摘要
The automotive transmission has been used to change the gear ratio of automotive by manual or automatic method. In this paper, the voice coil motor (VCM) is proposed to produce the thrust of automatic transmission. The thrust of the proposed VCM follows the iBl rule, so the magnetic flux density of the winding and the magnetomotive force (mmf) of the armature winding must be large to obtain large thrust. If the mmf is designed to be large, the weight of the VCM must also be large. In this paper, the optimum design was presented that can decrease the weight of the VCM without decreasing the thrust. It was clarified experimentally that the weight of the tested linear VCM can be decreased without decreasing the thrust.
