A "turn-on" fluorescent and colorimetric sensor for selective detection of Cu2+ in aqueous media and living cells

摘要
A dicyanoisophorone-based turn-on chemodosimeter 1 has been designed and synthesized to detect Cu2+ in aqueous media via selective hydrolysis reaction of the picolinate moiety accompanied with generating the fluorophore. The probe 1 exhibited remarkably selective fluorescence enhancement with a 164 nm Stokes shift and highly significant color change to Cu2+ over other metal ions. The limit of detection of probe 1 was calculated as low as 0.2 mu M for Cu2+. The probe 1 was also successfully applied to fluorescence imaging of Cu2+ in HeLa cells. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V.
