摘要
Introduction: the results of numeruous researches show the fact tlat exposition to X- rays for diagnostical purposes represents the risk-factors for lung cancer. The resed was undertaken in order to prove connection of exposition to x-rays for diagnostical purposes and lung cancer of patients in Tuzla area. Methods : 200 patients in putmonal clinic in Tuzla were examined. Experimental group consisted of 100 patients with lung cancer and control group consisted of 100 patient without dignosed lung carcinom.there wer ho significant differences in age or sex between these the group's These datas were collected through anonimuos questionaire with socio-demographic questions questions on x-ray exposial as well as exposial to radioactive isotops for diagnostical purposes. According to exposial : never exposed, one exposial within 5 years, two years, once and more times diuring one year. Results: significantly larger frequency of lung cancer was evident among male patients comparing to females (90 % vs. 10 % P=0,0791 in age between 50-79 - 70 %. Significant risk in lung cancer development is exposure to x-rays under computerised tomography (CT) several times in lifetime.; OR with 95% interval of reliability (CI) = 2.74 with CI 1.98- 3.79. In control group, the possible risk for lung cancer is exposure to radioactive contrastive matters in nuclear medicine (OR= 1.77 with CI 0.54- 5.78. Conclusion: x-rays in for diagnostical purposes represents the risk factor for lung cancer. It can be prevented by selective exposure to ionised rays of patients in CT diagnostics in strictly indicated cases. It is necessary to use other less damadging diagnostical methods with usage of new software technologies for accomplishing of significant decreases of radiation dosage risk in indicated diagnostic cases.
