Unmodified carbon paste electrode was employed for determination of nicotine in samples of nicotine mouth spray by using square-wave voltammetry with method of multiple standard additions. The samples did not require any prior pre-treatment process and were directly analysed in phosphate buffer (pH approximate to 7.5). In order to avoid decreasing of nicotine signal with subsequent measurement it was necessary add condition step before each measurement, finding that the best conditioning step consist of 30 second potentiostatic hold at -0.2 V. The found amount of nicotine in each sample correlated with the amount declared by manufacturer.
