Assessment of Step-Up Dc-Dc Converter with High Voltage Ratio in Different Operational Modes

摘要
Energy transformations modes in the dc-dc converters are divided into two modes such as complete inductor supply mode (CISM) and incomplete inductor supply mode (IISM). In this paper, the operational modes of step-up dc-dc converter with high voltage ratio in the CISM and IISM are given. For this converter, the critical inductance between CISM and IISM and also between continuous conduction mode and discontinuous conduction mode are calculated. In addition, the output voltage ripple and maximum output voltage ripple (MOVR) versus the parameters of converter are computed. Finally, the minimum values of inductances to achieve the minimum value of MOVR are calculated. The validity of presented mathematical theories is reconfirmed by simulation and experimental results.
