Scattering of surface plasmon-polaritons and light by metallic nanoparticles

摘要
Scattering of two different electromagnetic waves by a planar distribution of nanoparticles is presented. Multiple scattering appears with a plane wave. Scattering of surface plasmon-polaritons by the same distribution produces a strong and angularly localized maximum of the scattered light. This experimentally observed new feature is compared with two existing theoretical approaches. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
