External events analysis of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant

摘要：
This paper presents analysis of external events impact on the safe operation of the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) safety systems. Analysis was based on the probabilistic estimation and modeling of the external hazards. Calculations performed shows that external events can not significantly influence the safety level of the Ignalina NPP operation.
