摘要：

We report on a case of spontaneous hemothorax occurring in a 13-year-old boy with periosteal chondroma of the rib. Periosteal chondromas are rare, particularly in the ribs. To the best of our knowledge this is the first report of periosteal chondroma of the rib associated with hemothorax. (c) 2006 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
