摘要
This article describes a novel design of planar circular tag antenna for use in the ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio-frequency identification (RFID) system. By introducing T-arc-shaped strips and parasitic strips, the measured half power bandwidth of the proposed circular tag antenna can be about 115 MHz (848 963 MHz), which includes the entire operating bandwidth (860 960 MHz) for worldwide UHF RFID system. Meanwhile, with unidirectional reading pattern, the measured reading distance is about 3.8 m. Good tag sensitivity is obtained across the desired frequency band.
