A Study of Acoustical-Mechanical Coupling for Acoustic Energy Harvesting

摘要
The principles of acoustical-mechanical coupling between piezoelectric transducers and sound fields are studied for acoustic energy harvesting. The inefficiency of direct coupling is highlighted and an indirect coupling method inspired by the structure and operation of the human middle-ear is introduced. Simulations indicate that the proposed method can potentially ensure sufficient acoustic energy harvesting for low-power applications.
