Simulation and properties of the twined helical deflecting structure

摘要
A helical traveling wave deflection system for wide-band cathode-ray tube is considered, The system contains coaxial helices intertwined in a bifilar fashion. The model of the system, containing segments of multiconductor lines, is proposed. Dispersion equations, expressions for the input impedance of the system and method for calculation of the electric field, acting on electrons, are derived using the model. Properties of the system are revealed.
