Research on Performance of Cultural Industry with DEA Model-Based on 2010 Input-output Data of Thirteen Cities in Jiangsu of China

This paper analyzes the development tendency of culture industry in Jiangsu of China according to input-output data of thirteen cities of Jiangsu in 2010 with DEA model. The author used DEA and CCR model to measure the overall efficiency and input-output efficiency with three input and two output indexes. The paper got the measure result of the efficiency of culture industry of Jiangsu. The author states clearly the total efficiency of culture industry of Jiangsu that is high, although the situation of unbalanced development exists in several cities of Jiangsu province because of the input and the output not match. The growth trend of culture industry of each city is different. The development of culture industry in some cities is fast and some others are slow. The development of culture industry if only relies on pure input that will result in production ineffectively. The development of culture industry should increase industrial input meanwhile optimize allocation of resources in order to reach the best match between input and output for higher development efficiency.
