摘要
College English teaching, which improves the college students' language ability and promotes the internationalization of our country, takes an important role in the higher education of China. However, the college English aims more at teaching English culture rather than promoting Chinese culture. Accordingly, this leads to the difficulty in cross -culture communication due to that the students cannot express the content related to Chinese culture in English properly. On the basis of a full range of comprehensive analysis on the college English teaching and the teaching objective guided by national development, this paper puts forward that a new college English teaching method, combing with the Chinese culture, should be constructed based on the personal needs of college students. Thus, the students' ability of cross -culture communication can be fostered and the goal of spreading Chinese culture can be achieved.
