In the post-east Asian crisis period, the structural problems in the Chinese economy, linked with the legacy of Dengist reforms, are becoming apparent. Besides the increasing regional disparity, new wealth generated continues to be massively concentrated in few hands, while large segments of population have experienced absolute decline of revenues in last two years.
