Existence of whist tournaments with the three-person property 3PWh(v)

摘要：
A whist tournament Wh(nu) is said to have the three-person property if any two games in the tournament do not have three common players. We denote such a design as 3PWth(nu). In this paper, we show that the necessary conditions for the existence, of 3PWh(nu) are also sufficient whenever nu > 472. We also show that there are at most 38 possible exceptions below this bound.
