摘要
Public Policies play a fundamental role in reducing existing inequalities and when they are effective, they reduce violence against children and adolescents. That has been gaining strength over the years and with the implementation of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA), an instrument created in order to reduce this violence and guarantee the integral protection of children and adolescents. This struggle has gained new dimensions and brought about a restructuring of the organs and services that offer assistance to these users. With this, this study briefly discusses some historical aspects and some concepts about violence, politics and public policies and a debate on the rights of children and adolescents, with a focus on institutional reception.
