摘要
This paper presents a nuclear radiation detection and monitoring system based on Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). There are three main highlights in our system. First, we adopt the popular WSN technology-Zigbee which provides many merits such as low energy consumption, ease of deployment, scalability, reliable data transmission and low cost. Second, in order to save the power, as most Zigbee devices powered by battery, the protocol adopts the sleep mechanism, which sacrifices other performance. Given the requirement of high reliability and firm self-maintaining ability for the nuclear power plant, we design the UPS to solve the power problem. Last, we use the popular web technology to design a web monitoring platform to present real-time data of the target area. The result of this work performs quite well.
