摘要
A boost converter following the quadratic gain is proposed in this paper. At moderate duty ratios, this converter is able to step-up a lower source voltage to a higher load voltage, which is higher than the traditional boost converter. Its gain almost follows the conventional quadratic boost converter gain with an offset. Steady-state analysis is performed for this converter in continuous conduction mode and then a state-space average model is derived. A systematic procedure for selection of L-C components is established. A PID type controller is also designed for closed loop operation and stabilization. A 36 to 100 V, 60 NV converter is first used in simulation. Prototype of the proposed system is made and then experimental measurements arc captured for validation. Simulation and experimental results are in close agreement with the theoretical predictions.
