摘要
Mucormycosis is an opportunistic, life-threatening infection caused by fungi of the class Zygomycetes, which typically develops in patients with immune deficiency. We report a rare case of gastrointestinal (GI) tract mucormycosis in a patient without any apparent precipitating factors. Despite receiving aggressive surgical debridement of the involved tissues and treatment with liposomal amphotericin B, he succumbed to life-threatening GI bleeding.
