Phase equilibria in the P2O5-rich part of the system La2O3-CaO-P2O5

摘要
The system La(PO3)(3)-Ca(PO3)(2)-P2O5 was investigated using the methods of thermal analysis and X-ray powder diffraction, and its phase diagram was obtained. The occurrence of a ternary compound CaLa(PO3)(5), which was peritectically formed at a temperature of 900 degrees C and, with respect to its stoichiometry, was situated in the system La(PO3)(3)-Ca(PO3)(2), was found. The phosphate CaLa(PO3)(5) with lanthanum ultraphosphate gives the pseudobinary system CaLa(PO3)(5)-LaP5O14. The related phase diagram, as well as a one for the side system La(PO3)(3)Ca(PO3)(2), was obtained.
