摘要
With the scope of future inertial fusion energy (IFE) driver, design of a diode-end-pumped 1-kJ zig-zag slab laser with cryogenically cooled ceramic Yb:YAG is presented. Pulse repetition rate is 16Hz, and optical-optical efficiency is 34% at 140 K operation. Gradient of Yb3+ ion density increasing toward the slab center successfully suppresses the parasitic on the slab ends.
