Gbit/s payload and 2.5 Gbit/s label generation using optical carrier suppression and separation

摘要
It has been experimentally demonstrated for the first time that 40 Gbit/s payload and 2.5 Gbit/s label are generated and transmitted by using the optical carrier suppression and separation (OCSS) technique. The power penalty for both the 40 Gbit/s payload and 2.5 Gbit/s label is less than 0.5 dB after they are transmitted over 100 km SMF-28 as well as DCF full-compensation fibre.
